The extraordinary security measures were taken after receiving suicide attack threats to the district and sessions judges of Islamabad on July 10.“Laying down barbed wire or installation of security gates cannot stop suicide attempts but create a nuisance for the lawyers and visitors,” said Islamabad Bar Association President Haroonur Rasheed. He was of the view that main causes of resentment among people and different groups needed to be addressed at policymaking level. “These so-called security measures are creating panic among lawyers and visitors to the district courts,” he added. He said laying down barbed wire around courts is an attempt to stop people from seeking justice. He said effective and efficient law-enforcement agencies were needed to bust the terrorists to stop suicide bombing.Advocate M Tanveer said people were facing worse economic injustice for the last 60 years due to inequitable socio-economic system in the country. He said due to sky rocketing inflation people were expressing their resentment through suicide attacks. He said people visiting the district courts were not getting justice.
